Images & Copyrights
The work of Charles Camoin (1879-1965) is protected by copyright (moral rights and economic rights).
As a reminder, copyright is the intellectual property right that every author has on their works or that every rights-holder has on an artist’s work. It is protected by French Constitution and by the European Convention on Human Rights. These rights fall into two categories:
— Moral right: it protects the artist’s personality, through the work, by allowing their rights-holders to decide how the work may be distributed and used.
— Economic rights: they allow the rights-holders to manage the exploitation of the artist’s works and to earn an income by way of compensation.
Copyright is vested in the author and subsequently their rights-holders, and, with some exceptions, is not owned by the owners of works, museums, providers of photographs, etc.

Requesting a License from ADAGP
The artist’s rights-holders have entrusted the management of the artist’s copyright to ADAGP. Please contact ADAGP to ask permission to reproduce or represent works by Charles Camoin or the rights management organisation representing ADAGP in the country of publication, in addition to the payment of photography usage rights.
Requesting an Image
For all reproduction and representation requests for artworks whose high-definition files are not available from ADAGP or RMN’s bank images or from museums and institutions holding works by Charles Camoin, please contact the Archives Camoin providing the following information:

Upon receipt of a well-argued request, the project will be reviewed and if the file is available at the Archives Camoin, you will receive a detailed quote as soon as possible.
